Penelope and Preslee, 2009
Dear Sheri & Laura,
Both of you are wonderful!!!!!! You took such wonderful care of my baby girls and ME!!! Thank you for allowing me the peace of mind of hours of sleep, and a week long vacation with my older girls. I felt at total ease knowing that Penelope and Preslee were safe and sound at my home in your care!
The twins are doing great. We miss both of you! -A.S.

Dear Sheri,
Before my sister in-law mentioned it, I had never heard of a Postpartum Doula. I just wish I had known back when we were tearing our hair out with our first born 3 years prior. Acid reflux, not being able to breast feed and milk allergies on top of no sleep made for a very stressful first two months.
When I found out I was pregnant with our second child, two of my sister in-laws had worked with you, and BOTH insisted I call you to help with the care of our second child. After speaking with you and learning of your approach, I had every confidence that you were the right person for us.
You were so very supportive of my decisions and never tried to force any opinions unless I asked your advise. With you there, we had our very own newborn specialist right there. You saved me several calls to the doctor and always had an idea or an answer for whatever the situation was.
When you cooked and cleaned for me, I felt nurtured and cared for and I can't tell you what a relief it was. When you held the baby so I could nap and shower, it made all the difference in the world as far as being able to get through the next night when the baby was up for long periods of time. You helped me get a mess of a house house re-organized and gave me all sorts of ideas on how to handle our pre-schooler with the process of integrating the newborn into the family routine.
Forever grateful,A.W. and family

Dear Laura,
To the wonderful woman who, ever so gently, taught me how to care for and comfort my newborn little girl. We're doing just fine...I love these days (and nights!) with my darling A.
Thanks so much for the haikus. I'm looking down at her (yes, in her sling!) as I read, and I just love them. I'll put them with the notes you wrote for us...she may not have much in her baby book (we'll see how I do), but she'll certainly have a few very special items like these from you. And thank you for all your incredible nurturing, gentle training & support. We would not be in the happy, comfortable place we are now without you.
Your wisdom, caring, and generosity of spirit gave me strength and confidence. How can I ever thank you for that gift? You are so dear to me, and know that you will always be in my heart. With love, S.C. (A's happy, happy, happy mama), 2005
Graves, 2007
Sheri worked with us after the birth of our son, Graves. As first-time parents, we needed some support, guidance and help! Sheri was a life-saver and provided all three. I found breastfeeding very challenging and it helped so much to have Sheri there each morning assuring me that all was going well and giving me pointers. I tell everyone that I would never have stuck with breastfeeding if it had not been for her. Thanks to all her support in the beginning, I am still breastfeeding at nine months. Sheri has a soothing, calming presence which is just what stressed-out new parents need. When she came over, we were able to sleep, shower and eat - luxuries in those initial months. We cannot thank her enough for all she did. -A.L.W.
Laura with Catherine & Charlotte, 2006
Dear Laura, Some time ago now, I saw a woman in Babies R Us with twin infant outfits hanging out of her cart. We got to chatting and she told me that it was the first time she'd been out of the house since her twins had been born, and that the doula was at home with her boys. Turns out YOU were the doula, so we both got going on how wonderful you are. I asked her to say hello for me. It's really such a small world, isn't it? -E.K.
